Ben returns to Portland to play a recital of his favorite repertoire in the barn’s most intimate presentation yet. In 1996, Ben made his orchestral debut, with Niel DePonte conducting, as a 12-year-old young artist. Ben has gone on to become an internationally acclaimed concert pianist, having won Germany's prestigious ARD Piano Competition in 2006. You don’t want to miss the return of one of Portland’s most accomplished musical artists, making his first appearance at The Barn, performing Debussy, Chopin and more.

We are following the current Covid guidelines.
Our intimate setting offers only 230 seats inside the beautiful, open air Butler Barn (even more for our Outdoor Spectacular). No matter where you’re seated you’re no more than 40 feet from Portland's world-class musicians. These artists from our hometown deserve to be heard year-round and many of these phenomenal players perform with the Oregon Symphony. Our concert series is all about letting our greatest Oregon artists shine. Before the concert, enjoy convivial moments on the picnic lawn. What better way to enjoy our quintessential summer evenings?
